Congratulations to Sutton United who will play in the Football League for the first time in their 123-year history next season. They secured promotion after a 3-0 win over Hartlepool.
They ended their 2020/21 season as champions of the Vanarama National League. The team sealed their win with one game to spare and will be taking on the likes of Salford, Bradford and Oldham next year as they progress into the 2nd division of the English football league.
The 2015/16 National League South Champions are overjoyed to be crowned winners and to be playing in the EFL in the upcoming 2021/22 season. Matt Gray, Sutton United’s head coach, discusses this huge moment for the club:
